After Etsy processes your purchase, use a web browser to open Purchases and reviews and download the PDF access file. Guest buyers can use the download link in their Etsy receipt email. Open the PDF, follow the labeled template link, sign in to Canva and make your own copy.
Etsy digital downloads are accessed through a browser rather than the Etsy app. Keep the access PDF somewhere you can find it again.
Check the words before you export.
Replace the sample name, date, time, venue and RSVP wording where those fields appear. Read the finished invitation aloud and ask someone else to check the address. Artwork and locked backgrounds are not promised as editable; each listing explains its exact contents.
A Canva account is required. Available features and assets depend on your account and Canva’s current terms. We do not promise that every feature is included in a free Canva account.
Print one first.
For a 5 × 7 invitation, download the print file using Canva’s available options and print at 100% or Actual Size. Check your printer or print shop’s paper, margin and bleed requirements. Avoid “Fit to page” when it changes the intended size. Measure the test copy before printing the full set.
White cardstock is a useful starting point. View the proof in the light of your room; colors vary between screens, printers, ink and paper. The printable test page in the starter kit helps check scale; it is not a sample of the paid invitation artwork.
Send it digitally.
Export the finished design as an image using Canva’s available options. If your purchase includes a phone format, personalize and proofread that separate template too. Share the completed image with guests, keeping the editable template access link for yourself.
