4–6 weeks before

2–3 weeks before
Decide on food, one focal point and the color palette. Borrow serving pieces, order any supplies with delivery time, and keep your shopping list together.
1 week before
Check responses, print one test of each paper item, confirm food quantities and assign a helper for setup or photographs.
The day before
Set out empty serving pieces, arrange the welcome area, prepare favor bags and check the route from the entrance to the party.
Party day
Add food and fresh flowers, put out pens for activities, take a photograph and leave yourself time to welcome guests.
After the party
Note gifts and kind gestures while they are fresh, send thank-yous and save reusable decorations for the next celebration.
