Your table, two ways.
Gather these first.
Check what you already own before you shop. Adjust food and serving quantities to your guest count.
- Sea-glass linen or a runner over a white cloth
- A pearl-colored cake stand and low serving dishes
- Shell-pink napkins with a little lagoon-blue ribbon
- Plain favor bags and the optional QDP mermaid tags
- Paper and pencils for a sea-creature drawing activity
Decide how you will invite guests
The featured Etsy listing includes a 5 × 7 print invitation and a 1080 × 1920 phone format. Edit and check the version you intend to send. It is styled for a tenth birthday; review the listing and available editable age field for your event.
Balance the shimmer
Choose one reflective finish, such as pearly shell dishes. Keep the linen and napkins matte so the table feels calm in photographs. Lagoon blue works best as a small ribbon or lettering accent rather than the whole background.
Prepare a favor station
The coordinating QDP tags are a separate purchase. Personalize the birthday phrase and TO/FROM fields, print a test sheet at 100% on US Letter, then cut and punch the tags. Pair them with plain bags so the illustrated detail is easy to see.
Make space for an activity
Put paper and pencils on another table and invite guests to draw a sea creature or a birthday wish. Keep finished drawings in one basket for the host to save. Use the starter-kit shopping sheet to decide what you can borrow first.
A calm setup plan.
Edit the invitation before purchasing decor. Print and cut tags several days ahead, set the table the day before, and put food out near the celebration. Check names on favor bags before guests arrive.
Use the free timeline and shopping checklist to keep the last few jobs together.
Repeat the palette more often than the mermaid motif. The party will feel coordinated while the invitation remains the star.
